I’ve lived in Eureka Springs for about 4 years now, and I’ve never been able to attend the White Street walk for one reason or another. Every year I was told I was missing out. FINALLY, I was able to attend on this last Friday night. I have to say everything was as advertised. It was an amazing atmosphere with a great variety and quality of art up and down the street. The social aspect was amazing as well; ever-shifting groups of people catching up on recent times or old times or whatever else they might have been talking about. Did I mention that many of the locations had wine available? I have been quite busy with my work lately and had not been able to get out at night– even at all, really and so the entire package was like one big mug of mana for my soul. It was a blast to get out and shoot for fun, as well.

Roger Fiddling at the Walk

Many who are familiar with Eureka Springs would recognize Roger– he was playing up at the top of the walk near Mountain street. I took several photos… but I liked this one the best.

White Street Social Club

The night was great for watchers– artists and revelers alike. If you ever get a chance, you have got to come down for this event.

Lux Studio Mailbox

As I am sure a lot of us do, I was catching random sights through the corner of my eyes– “THAT looks cool” and “I wonder if that would work” and the likes. I caught this mailbox as we were going into Lux Weaving Studio. I’m told that a guy just inside the door looked at me like I was weird when I took this one. Go figure.

Zeke’s Window

I was also intrigued by this view out Zeke Taylor’s window.

Kathryn and Robin at the White Street Walk

My friend Kathryn was a participant at the walk as well– I grabbed this shot at the very end of the night as she was preparing to pack up. Check out her website and blog at http://www.kathrynsemolic.com
