It’s funny how our social lives work. . . we go through long fits of doing nothing, and then short spurts of doing fun things. Our most recent bout of fun included stops at the Oktoberfest celebration at Crown Center in Kansas City on Saturday and the Renaissance Festival on Sunday. Many good times had, many fine malted beverages consumed. Many great quotes uttered. . . I’ll share them when you’re old enough to hear them. Regardless that, the more interesting point for you, my loyal viewers, is that I actually used my camera . . . to take PERSONAL IMAGES!! What a concept. Without further ado, here are some of what I managed to capture. Not too shabby, I don’t guess, for my old rusty eye.
…and of course no trip to the RenFest would be complete without eating a Turkey Leg. . . some of our party did not complete their trip. I was not one
And there you have it. Sort of a run-by posting, but it shall have to do for now
Peace.

TURKEY LEG!!!!
That was a fun weekend. Probably the most fun I’ve had at a renfest aside from the 20min of my theatrical debut renfest day two years ago.
The limey birds were my favorite act this year. I wish we could have seen their entire show, but what we saw (and later in other shows) was hilarious. And we learned that every show gets better when they bring out the FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!.
I like the picture of the fairy girl in the tree. I had a feeling when you took it that it would turn out good. She’s one of them phot-”ho”-genic people I hate to love. The guy on fire turned out good too.
Laurie’s pictures must be laying on the cutting room floor somewhere

Been a while since I’ve checked out your blog. Glad to see you got a chance to shoot some personal stuff. I particularly like numbers one and two, great work. Hope you’re making time for fun, and life is finding you well.
